Out of context memories.
well, not anymore.
Grandpa got his finger crushed under the church corner stone, that summer we walked over the L street bridge to eat hot dogs in the hy vee parking lot. Coke in red and white paper cups. Picnic tables, brown. Hot cement. Comanche on a blue leash, panting in the shade. Lots of pick up trucks. shopping carts screeching. St. Stanislaus ringing bells.
It smelled like south Omaha. If you have been to south omaha you know exactly what I mean.
