Smokey Mountain Deer by OmahaNebraska Smokey Mountain Deer by OmahaNebraska
Canon A1 w/ Kodak High Definition 400 + 35-105 f/3.5
Scanned from C Print on Fuji Archive Type C
I did add the black border in CS3 because of dA's muddy green-gray background...

I do my own color processing and print in a traditional color darkroom. This is something I shot on vacation in the Smokey Mountains (Tennessee).

I really love the Type C.

Yes, "poetic" says it very well. The leaves in the foreground and clustering around make it feel like a portal into faerie.

Very nice capture, very poetic. I love how you can really see the deer's muscles- it looks so tense.

The colours and the scenery are wonderful. How did you managed it that the deer didn't flee?

It was in a national park, the populations are under protection so they no longer fear people :)

:giggle: thanks, it wasn't too hard to get...the deer in the parks are very calm because no one can hunt them
