It's very beautiful there, that park is a national treasure. That is actually the view from the front porch of a cabin, built and lived in by the first settler to Tennessee!

These 'traditional' photos amaze me... I love the tones, the blurry details, the magical atmosphere:)

Well thank you, I'm glad you enjoy them. I'm so sad they don't make this film any more, I miss working with it terribly.

yeah... digital techniques tend to kill old, special ones.. at least, that's what I experience with drawing materials, too.. they are far too expensive to buy, if they hit the level that you can actually use for something,or they doesn't even exist anymore.. which is sad :(

Composing with polaroid cameras can be tricky due to parallax error, but it worked out well this time. I was quite surprised.

nice work with the Vaseline
btw does the lens get recked by it?

Well, I wouldn't recommend putting it on an expensive SLR lens or a nice rangefinder, but for toy cameras and polaroids it doesn't do too much damage, just a major pain to clean off!

I swear I've seen a painting like this somewhere before. I love this piece, the soft glow of the light gives it a wonderful warm loving and hazy quality that suits the scenery of this piece soo well.

It reminds me of a lot of paintings you find in thriftstores on felt :O but I think that may be why I like it.

Amazing shot! The shadow really caught my eye. I just have to ask though, what was the vaseline used for?

I rub it on the corner of the lens, this time I just forgot to take it off though so it's not quite as strong as usual. It creates a distortion of the light entering the camera, essentially blurring and lightening the corners of the images.
