I made this for =utqtbry and =evile33 but if it's helpful to anyone else that's great too!

Just a quick mod on how to turn your 120 holga into a 35mm holga and get all that sprocket-y goodness. Nothing too hard, and nothing permanent! So you can always switch back to shooting 120 at the end of this roll.

It's a neat trick, you can see the results you can get here: [link]

I also havea folder in my gallery of shots I took using this method.

I can't stress enough though not opening it in light. Once everything is loaded you MUST be in total darkness to upload it. I use a film changing bag but if you can climb into a closet and shove some towels under the door that works too.

:D Have fun kids! Let me know if anything doesn't make sense or if you need help with something. I made this at 2am so it's very possible it's full of grammar and typo mistakes too.

Sorry the file is so big :( if you can't see it properly press download.

OH, and set your camera back to "N" mode when you are done.

no problem :D I had had to put more film in there anyways so it was just a matter of taking pictures and wasting some time in photoshop.

I know what you mean though :cries: I have a billion sisters and with christmas coming up it's going to be expensive, but I keep buying cameras :noes: I've got about 10 different ones sitting in my watch list on ebay and plan to go thrift store hopping on tuesday for some.

I have an unhealthy obsession :fear:

Looks great! It makes perect sense too, I will have to get a tutorial up one day.
 I knew many many years before I ever had my first camera that I was going to collect them. Started when I was 30-31...got my first 35mm. and now I have a total of 4 cameras..and will be getting more.
I might hit up the thrift stores like you...very good idea!
I plan on buying at least 3 Holgas.....that will take some time..probably 2-3 months. But I know not any 2 are the same

I've never sculpted before. I think that's one of the only mediums I've got left to try

Getting the head cut off while framing can produce great results, too. Well, sometimes. ;)

This is an awesome tutorial. It should help with the confusion that some people have about the 35mm mod.

Have you tried gaffer's tape? I plan to look around hardware stores for it, because I read somewhere that gaffer's tape doesn't leave the surface sticky when you pull the tape off, unlike when using black electrical tape.

I've finished my second 35mm roll. Can't wait to have it processed!
awesome, awesome tutorial... I will definatly try this out
